The Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority at Indiana University desired updated spaces for the women living in the chapter house to study and socialize. The spaces were to be relaxed and comfortable while reflecting the unique character of the sorority and its historic house. Understanding their vision, our team re-imagined the main entry, formal living room and library spaces to meet the project objective. The heavy wood paneled entry was transformed into a warm and inviting sitting area with a sophisticated feel that also proudly displays photography of the current chapter members. The sorority’s brand was emphasized by implementing chapter colors into the formal living room’s finishes and furniture. A more transitional feel was necessary for the library space which features artwork and framed pictures displaying the sister’s history and academic achievements.
