Renovating Butler University’s Alpha Phi house involved creatively reconfiguring the existing plan to offer greater function and effective use of space. Existing formal and informal living were reassigned moving formal areas forward and casual ‘hang out’ spaces towards the back of the house. The second-floor media room was refreshed allowing a more functional lounge. A custom banquette was created for the informal study and custom cubbies were fabricated for the new mail area. A newly curated color scheme of soft warm hues was combined with preppy blues to enliven the home and reflect the energy of the women who live there.
