Carmel Clay Public Library recognized the need to expand their services for the growing population of west side residents. The new 5,000 SF Joyce Winner West Branch is configured to offer a variety of services for patrons of all ages. Carmel Clay Public Library’s desire was for the library to be a warm and welcoming setting; comfortable for all ages. Children and teen areas were designed into the footprint, as well as a variety of flexible seating spaces equipped with power to accommodate users’ technology needs. In lieu of a new, large addition, mobile book shelving was integrated, allowing the space to easily transform and accommodate multiple uses.
