Last renovated nearly 20 years ago, the dining room and pre-function dining lounge at St. Paul’s lifestyle senior living community were drab, dated, and difficult to navigate. Without the budget for a major renovation, our team achieved a “quick win” for the client at $65 per square foot (including architectural fees, furniture, and construction). The reinvigorated space provides interest and intrigue, while helping to define a focal point and clear paths of travel. Organized rows of tables and chairs offer improved walkability and a calmer space for residents and servers. Designed with input from residents and staff, a variety of seating options add visual interest in the large dining space and a new electric fireplace anchors the room with a feeling of warmth and coziness.
