When IPFW opened its doors in 1964, Kettler Hall was the first and only building on the campus. The 52-year-old building required a much-needed renovation to its first-floor lobby and west wing. Admissions, financial offices and student advising are presently housed in the hall. Current layouts lacked cohesiveness and were underutilized. Focus on ‘student success’ was IPFW’s core goal. 15,000 square feet of space was reconfigured to allow greater student access and enhance circulation as well as establish a centralized student waiting area. The new central hub provides a hangout space where students can collaborate and recharge. Designed as a technology rich space, a wide variety of seating configurations supports the needs of contemporary student life.
