Our team lead the design and construction of Clark County Public Library’s new Northridge Branch. We began by conducting extensive research and engagement, including staff and community surveys and engagement sessions and a building program study of an existing CCPL branch. To achieve their goal of incorporating an outdoor space and ensure connectivity to the surrounding neighborhood, we performed a massing study before developing a final concept that sets the building back off the road and maximizes the single floor footprint to respect the suburban context. The outdoor space integrates with the nearby park and the overall orientation creates optimal solar usage that will flood the interior with indirect natural light.
