BIM/Revit Coordinator

The BIM/Revit Coordinator will be part of the Design Technology team that will utilize Revit to model and create drawings that are of the highest level of detail and accuracy to achieve consistent results. 

Duties + Essential Job Functions

Software

  • Manage the implementation of supporting software for BIM
  • Evaluate new BIM related software and technologies
  • Stay informed on best practices for use of Revit Architecture and BIM
  • Stay informed on other BIM related software and how they work with Revit

Standards

  • Responsible for BIM standards development, implementation, and enforcement
  • Creation and maintenance of the software Template files to assure standards
  • Provide support for plotting and electronic file submissions
  • Automate routines in BIM to support standards and productivity
  • Provide QC for completeness and adherence to Luminaut standards of all drawings and models produced
  • Assist in developing and enforcing BIM documentation and workflow process

  • Train and oversee the day-to-day activities of Revit Teammates to ensure BIM standards and best practices are maintained in the creation of the Architectural Revit model
  • Support/Training:
  • Support the BIM/Revit technology needs of all offices
  • Troubleshoot internal office user problems
  • Internal Training: Provide Revit Fundamentals and Intermediate training to staff

Project Interface

  • Support project standards coordination with clients
  • Assist on project work – modeling and detailing
  • Assist project teams in BIM project setup.
  • Create Revit families in response to project needs
  • Help resolve BIM design issues
  • Manage and distribute coordinated digital documents to the project team

    Responsibilities

    Understanding project, team, firm and client goals and objectives, standards, and procedures

    Supporting client relationships through project delivery

    Participating in external, internal team and consultant meetings

    Supporting project managers in the development, detailing and revision of project documentation

    Mentor and support team in digital design, including technology quality review

    Provide support for project kick-off information and the creation of initial project setup with workflow documents

    Support daily model management administration and maintenance

    Support and contribute to the creation of content and support the integration of digital design technology products with other applications

    Qualifications

    Minimum 3-8 years of experience

    Familiar with BIM modeling process

    Must be a dynamic team player who offers a positive attitude, creative

    design solutions, and a commitment to consistently exceed client expectations

    Must be able to participate in a multi-disciplined team throughout the entire project’s development to meet the needs of the client, while understanding project goals and schedules

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills
